A courthouse (sometimes spelled court house) is a building that is home to a local court of law and often the regional county government as well, although this is not the case in some larger cities. Or better yet, call 211, and ask them! Or call a church and ask the pastor there. You still have to get blood tests and wait at least 3 days in this state but the marriage packet they mail to you from the courthouse or require you to pick up (I'm not sure which but you will at least need to sent a sase to them) will tell you step by step. It is not free, I know that...and some ministers will marry you for free if you take marriage counseling from them. If you pick a public park to marry in, that is free too! (don't know why I thot about the free stuff because that may not be a problem for you but hey...) Have fun! I know the town halls (court houses don't marry people there) in Orange Country, NY (where I'm from originally) require an appointment to 'hitch' people. Yours may as well.
