Yes they can use it for WiMax. That is one of he reasons Sprint is entered into the bidding. The nice part about that frequency is it will go through just about anything as an obstacle. Todays standard TV signal is a good example. Channels in the 60's range are in the 700M area. Although they are the UHF range, they are better than 2.4G for penetration of obstacles.
