From Google News Search: "Home and Property" how long should it take for a insurance company to respond on a home property theft? Q. i had a trailer stolen with car parts inside and it has been 6 weeks and my ins. company has not responded. i have been calling but keep getting excuses. Asked by concrete guru - Mon Jul 7 09:15:40 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. You should have a claim number and adjuster name within two business days. You should have your denial letter within about three weeks. Trailers aren't covered under homeowner policies. Car parts, assuming they are for business use (resale or installation) are also not covered under your homeowners policy. Call your agent. If they have a copy of the police report, and they've had it over a month, and you've provided the proof of loss, etc, there's no excuse for the lack of content. You can also file a written complaint with the state insurance department, HOWEVER, there's no "legal time frame" where they have to accept or deny the claim. They COULD still be investigating. And again, I don't think this is going to be covered. … [cont.] Answered by mbrcatz - Mon Jul 7 09:35:43 2008 How do I change the title on the property (home)? Q. Answered by HuaracheKid - Tue Aug 19 21:05:45 2008 How much force can I use to remove someone from my home or property?
Q. Assume that I have given the person a verbal order to leave my property. The person may have been verbally abusive to me or even threatened me. I know I can not show a weapon unless he is armed and I feel that my life is in danger. Unless I am assaulted, I can not defend myself. I think I am not allowed to physically touch the person to get them to leave. I think all I can do is order them from my property and call the police if they refuse to leave. Asked by PJ - Wed Jul 1 12:03:29 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Dont touch them. Call the police instead to have them removed.
